Satish Kumar

Chairman & Managing Director

Satish Kumar is the founder of the Group and occupies the position of the Chairman and Managing Director of the Group. He is a veteran with over two decades of rich experience in the Petroleum industry. He was part of the implementation of the Bulk Procurement System (BPS) while he was the Director at Petroleum Importers Coordinator (PIC), now Petroleum Bulk Procurement Agency (PBPA).

He is a postgraduate in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Mumbai. His breakthrough came with the founding Petrofuel in 2007 with the aim to provide unparalleled service in the industry. His leadership has seen the company achieve the status of being the largest retail distributor of Petroleum products in the country constantly since its inception. The African Business Leader Award winner believes in women empowerment at the workplace with over 50% of top and middle management positions being occupied by women and is a staunch follower of the Kaizen philosophy with focus across the group on continuous training, learning and optimisation. He led the group to the position it has achieved today.

Anoop S Kumar

Chief Executive Officer

Anoop S. Kumar is the Chief Executive Officer of the Group and Director of the Board. He is an engineer by qualification having received his degree from Amrita University in India. Anoop boasts over a decade of rich experience in top management. Under his leadership, the group soared to new heights in the Tanzanian market and became a force to be reckoned with.

Anoop possesses vast experience in petroleum, logistics and project execution. Anoop oversaw the expansion of Petro Group into neighbouring markets using strategic partnership crafted with international trading partners. Due to his Civil Engineering background, Anoop is responsible for project execution, engineering, global procurement, construction, industrial relations, project management, information technology, and risk management for the group.

Adithya S Kumar

Chief Operating Officer

Adithya S. Kumar is the Chief Operating Officer of the Group and Director of the Board. He is a dual degree holder in International Business and Marketing from University of West of England, Bristol, and Taylors University, Malaysia. He holds an Entrepreneurship in Emerging Markets certification from Harvard University. Being a marketing graduate, Adithya focuses on increasing brand value and equity.

During his tenure, the brand awareness of the group soared to greater heights. He oversaw the rebranding of the entire Petro Group and its associated companies. Adithya is a marketer with a proven track record of service delivery. In this role, Adithya drives growth by focusing on the group’s strategy by putting emphasis on the core values of the organisation. Adithya has over 9 years of experience in the top management of Oil and Gas industries among others. His experience in Marketing and Operations has seen him contribute towards the positive growth of Petro Group and its affiliates.
